第一；在跳舞的过程中，优美的舞姿不仅使人的身体得到极大的放松，优雅的音乐曲调也使人的精神得到极大的满足，更能起到锻炼身体，放松精神的作用。 第二：提升自身的仪态和气质 。
长期跳舞的人走路姿势特别端正、风雅，因为在舞蹈中就包含了挺胸收腹的姿势，走起路来当然与众不同。现代人对美有进一步的追求，追求形体美，内在美，气质美，那学跳舞不得不说是一种最佳的选择。
第三：提高社交能力
当今时代，样样都要懂，聚会和朋友的PARTY是经常会遇到的，公司经常也会有活动、联欢会，如果你不会跳舞是很难和众人沟通的，更显得不合时宜。
总之舞是一项颐养身心的活动，年轻人可从中获得展示青春美感的欢乐，中老年者可从中得到适当的活动和充分的愉悦；是一项既能使身体得到锻炼，又能使精神得到放松，心理得到正确调整的“轻体育”。
