         One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.（一天，小男孩回到树身边并且看起来不高兴。）

         "Come and play with me", the tree asked the boy.（“来和我玩吧”，树请求道。）

         "I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more" the boy replied.（“我不再是个孩子了，我不再围着树玩了”男孩回答道。）

         "I want toys. I need money to buy them."（“我想要玩具，我需要钱买玩具。”）

 

         "Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money."（“对不起，可我没钱，但你可以摘掉我所有的苹果卖掉。”）

         The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.（这个男孩高兴极了。他匆忙拿走树上所有的苹果高兴地离开了，走了之后从未回来，树伤心极了。）

        One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.（有一天，现在成为男人的那个男孩回来了，树很兴奋。）

       "Come and play with me!" the tree said.（树说“来和我玩吧"。）

       "I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?" said the man.（我快老了，我想远航来放松自己，你能给我一艘船吗？”这个男人说。）

      "Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy."（“用我的树干造船吧，你可以远航并且很快乐。）

       So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.（于是这个男人砍掉了树干造了一艘船。他去航行了，很久没有出现。）

        Finally, the man returned after many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you", the tree said.（最后，这个男人在许多年之后回来了。！对不起我的孩子，可我对你来说什么也没了，没有苹果了。”树说）

      "No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied.（“没问题，我没牙咬了”男人回答。）

      "No more trunk for you to climb on".（“对你而言没树干可爬了"。)

       "I am too old for that now" the man said.(男人说:“我现在太老了”）

      "I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots," the tree said with tears.（“我的确不能给你任何东西了，只剩下要死的树墩了”树含着泪说。）

      "I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years," the man replied.（“现在我不需要许多，仅仅休息的地方就够了，这些年我累了。”）

      "Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest." The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.（“好！老树根是依靠和休息的最好地方。来，和我坐在一起休息。”这个男人坐了下来，树开心得热泪盈眶 。—译文 蓝天）  

   
         【感悟】This apple tree is just like our parents. They devote themselves to us, even their life. We should cherish every minute that we stay with our parents. What we will dowhat we can do is to make our parents fell happy as the tree in the hope that one day they can settle down together . （这个苹果树正如我们的父母。他们全身心的给与了我们，乃至他们的生命。我们应该真爱与我们父母在一起的每一分钟。我们要做的，我们能够做的是使我们的父母像那棵树那样感到高兴，将来能够陪伴在他们身边。）
