Homemade Stiffener 自制定型液

几年前在上野车站里的AFTERNOON TEA店里，看到纯白色蕾丝钩的化妆盒等，是经过硬性定型的，玲珑剔透。当时就好奇用什么魔液能让蕾丝小物经久不变型。这几年一直没忘，去年底已经把直接用的定型液买回了家。这会儿在网上又看到自制定型液，记录在此，好奇糖和水怎么着就能把蕾丝变身。

原料：2杯糖，1杯水
工具：镊子，锅，定型用的模具---碗，保鲜膜，纸或报纸
制作：2杯糖、1杯水放入锅中，加热直至糖溶解。把锅从火上移开，把钩好的小物浸入溶液里。稍微冷却后，用镊子把蕾丝小物从锅中取出放到碗上，拉出自己喜欢的形状。当蕾丝小物完全冷却后，用手拉好最终的形状。风干至少三天。当线恢复原来的颜色，蕾丝小碗变硬，就可以使用了。

tongs and 2-qt saucepan); large mixing bowl 10” diameter;
plastic wrap; craft paper or newspaper.
Homemade Stiffener: Combine 2 cups sugar and 1
cup water in saucepan. Heat on stove just until sugar is
dissolved. Be careful as solution is very hot! Remove pan
from heat and soak crocheted bowl in solution. Let cool
slightly. With tongs, remove crocheted bowl from saucepan
and drape over mixing bowl, shaping as desired. Once
piece has sufficiently cooled, shape bowl further with
fingers. Let dry for at least 3 days. When thread returns to
normal color, bowl is stiffened and ready for use.
